CEOChitra took over as CEO of the Chandran Foundation in 2017, having spent the previous twenty years working as a commercial lawyer in London.
With the support of her family, team, and trustees, Chitra is committed to continuing her father's work by empowering young people to overcome barriers to their education, and providing opportunities to level the playing field.
Dominic Myles Bugeja-Lane
Executive DirectorDominic has 15 years experience in senior management, leading and developing trauma informed services, supporting the most vulnerable groups in our society to access the support they need with dignity; his past roles included supporting young people experiencing homelessness, survivors of modern slavery and domestic abuse, LGBTQI+ community, those facing food insecurity, those affected by substance use, people living with HIV/AIDS.
Roshami Wickremasinghe
Operations & Finance ManagerRoshami joined the Chandran Foundation team in 2017, working directly with schools to ensure the successful delivery of our operations.
Having previously worked with the United Nations in Sri Lanka, and having held senior strategic management positions, Roshami has a passion and skill for ensuring incremental change with enduring, transformative results.

Leah Jones
Programme CoordinatorLeah has returned to the Foundation after gaining a wealth of experience working in schools. She has a renewed focus on children’s welfare.
Alongside working at the charity, Leah will be starting an Arts Psychotherapy MA. She is excited to bring this expertise to the Chandran Foundation to amplify the Foundation’s welfare provision.

Kerry Chappell
Executive Assistant VolunteerKerry joined CF in 2024, following a successful career in the Construction Sector. Kerry’s experience of running large-scale events and supporting the Operations Team will be instrumental in moving our charity forward. She is dedicated to fighting educational inequality and determined to make a positive difference.

MarketingJordan, a University of Bath psychology graduate, blends academic ability with mental health service expertise. Passionate about youth welfare, she is committed to raising their education, resilience and social support. Leveraging her psychology background alongside a comprehensive understanding of business operations, Jordan offers invaluable support to the Chandran Foundation.

Elizabeth Obertelli
Volunteer Consultant Social Value & CommunitiesLiz Obertelli is Head of Social Value & Communities for Breyer Group where she champions Social Value initiatives that meet the needs of local residents and communities where Breyer works. She previously worked with DWP to develop pre-employment academies and was awarded The Freedom of the City of London for delivering the first “Get into Demolition” programme for ex-offenders.
