GetReady Project April 2021

  • Post category:News

Thanks to funding from The Coronavirus Community Support Fund, our team of 25 tutors supported children throughout the third national lockdown and with the transition back to school. We have also reached out to and assisted parents in need of support.

The children formed excellent bonds with the tutors they worked with. Small class sizes ensured each child received tailored academic support. Most importantly, the sessions improved the students’ wellbeing by providing much-need structure and continuity throughout the disrupted term.

Alongside the children, our tutors benefitted immensely from the project. They looked forward to their sessions with many citing the students’ infectious enthusiasm as the highlight of their week. Through tutoring, these young adults have honed their communication and leadership skills, setting them up with invaluable experience as they embark on their individual career journeys.

Thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport for making this project possible.
